The two hulls are round bilged and symmetrical with bulbous bows, spray steps forward, hull widening spray steps just above the waterline, and transom sterns with stern platforms over extended hull bottoms and a starboard side swim ladder. There are half-pipe rubrails on the hull sides and aluminum handrails extend around the decks. The wing between the hulls has a wave piercing V-bottom full length. The hull and main decks are welded steel.
The raised bow decks extend over the wing and have a centerline anchor windlass and anchor roller and a watertight hatch over the chainlocker forward in the wing. A low aluminum trunk cabin is next, followed by the raised aluminum pilothouse, with a reversed raked windshield, and an overhanging top forming a visor. There are port and starboard pilothouse doors to the forward side decks and there are port and starboard wing engine control stations forward of the doors. The starboard forward side deck has aft steps down to the lower aft side decks and a chain gate to the slightly raised boat deck over the main cabin. There is a second port side pilothouse door to the port forward side deck which has a forward stairway to the aluminum deck above, aft stairs down to the port aft side deck, and a chain gate to the slightly raised boat deck. The aluminum boat deck has forward lockers for lifejackets and maintenance gear, two sets of foam fire extinguishing systems, a starboard aft deck box and steps to the upper aluminum deck, and a port aft liferaft and EPIRB.
The upper deck extends from well forward over the pilothouse to nearly fully aft over the boat deck, and measures 33’ 1” wide by 44’ 4” long. It overhangs the beam of the hull necessitating oversized fenders for use in the locks or against a tall bulkhead. This deck has hydraulic actuators that raise and lower railings around its perimeter, and has cables from the rails which also raise and lower the railings around the stairwell and the radar mast. There are perimeter lights around the deck for night illumination.
The lower aft side decks have the stairways to the upper side decks forward, bulwarks with side boarding gates, and the tank fills and vents. They lead aft to the full beam aft deck which has forward doors to the saloon, forward counters with storage cabinets and outboard engine room fan inlets, watertight hatches over the lazarettes and the central wing cavity, and port and starboard aft stairways down to the stern platforms. A Marquipt aluminum boarding stairway is stored to starboard at the rail.
The forward end of the wing V-cavity has a bulkhead with the chainlocker forward with watertight hatch above on the foredeck. The rest of the wing lower V-cavity is accessible from hatches in the crew mess and on the aft deck, and it is spray foam insulated.
The lower hull areas are unfinished forward with removable plywood panel soles and spray foam insulation. They are accessible through doors from stairway landings. The stairway landings also have aft watertight doors to the port and starboard engine compartements. The fuel and water tanks are below the engine room soles, and the gray and black water tanks are below the port stairway landings. The engines are aft in the engine rooms. There are lazarettes aft accessible from the watertight deck hatches, with the shaft alleys below hatches and the steering gear fully aft in each.
The forward compartment in the wing and upper portion of the hulls is a full beam open unfinished storage compartment, currently set up as a work room and office with port and starboard desks, book cases, and a central heat exchanger and fan system for the cabin ventilation and heating systems. There are doors port and starboard from this compartment to the crew mess, which has a forward dinette, a starboard aft galley with sink, microwave, and refrigerator, a port aft door to a head compartment with stall shower, a port aft locker with washing machine, a port aft stairway up to the pilothouse, and port and starboard outboard doors to stairways down to the landings outside the engine room doors. To starboard in the crew mess is a door to an “L” shaped galley with storage and aft in the galley is a door to the saloon.
The saloon is full width, and has a central forward stairway up to the pilothouse, a port forward door to a head compartment, a starboard forward desk, and port and starboard lounges and side tables with the doors to the aft deck aft.
The pilothouse has a central helm station with pedestal helm seat, port and starboard counters and lockers, a port island chart table with storage lockers and a stairwell to the crew mess, and a starboard aft raised lounge area with sofas and side tables. There are port and starboard doors to the upper forward side decks.
