Only Alerion 33 with full lifelines on the market​!

Well cared for, well equipped and presented in true ‘sail away’ condition. Great Lakes freshwater usage only with indoor heated storage up to May of 2019! Alerion 33s are an excellent option for solo or shorthanded sailing, with all control lines led to the helm and the ability to sail upwind in 20 kts of true wind without having to reef. Recent laminate sails, electronics ($20K), canvas (including winter Fairclough cover), running rigging and a race bottom are just some of the reasons why HERON presents great value. HULL

White gel coat topsides with inset Gold Cove Stripe and Flag Blue single boot stripe with red bottom paint. Decks with contrasting Moondust nonskid. Gel coat surfaces are White. Cockpit sole laid teak. 

 

Spade rudder. Performance winged keel with lead bulb. Composite hull built with SCRIMP infusion process. Foam cored topsides and deck. 

COCKPIT

The cockpit on the Alerion 33 is second to none with plenty of comfortable seating for guests and helmsperson alike. All control lines are led aft to the helm so that the mainsail may be raised and lowered by the skipper. Comfortable seat cushions and backrests are a nice touch.

MAST AND RIGGING AND SAILS

Hall carbon fiber mast with double spreaders. Sloop rig with rod standing rigging and open turnbuckles. Mast and boom painted light tan to match decks. Fully battened laminate mainsail (2019) Harken track and slides/cars. Harken roller furling with Hoyt self-tacking boom. Laminate headsail (2019). Harken electric winches either side of the wheel within easy reach (port winch is 2-speed). All running rigging was replaced by Sound Rigging (2021).

INTERIOR

Port and starboard full-length settees. Storage beneath and outboard; shelving outboard and above with custom wicker storage baskets made to fit. Starboard sink cabinet with teak louvered locker door and drawers. Storage behind with drop–down locker door. Port cabinet with 12v Isotherm B140 reefer, Origo 2000 alcohol single burner with cutting board topper. Storage outboard with lift–up sliding door. 

 

Forward bulkhead to port has teak bi-fold opening panel. Centerline teak privacy door.  Head is forward to port with teak seat above. Storage outboard with Textilene mesh zip open access. 

 

Across to starboard is gorgeous teak countertop cabinet with inset stainless sink with hot and cold water and sliding mirrored cabinet outboard. Sink faucet pulls out and doubles as a shower. Large V–berth bunk is all the way forward. Storage beneath port and starboard. Teak drawer with teak fold down locker beneath on centerline. 

  • Teak and holly sole, lift outs for bilge access 

  • Teak companionway steps: lower step with hinged top and storage box beneath 

  • Teak hull sides and solid teak trim with white Formica bulkheads and countertops
